Sports Centre

Named Kola Sorinola Sports Complex, the sports directorate is for the development of students’ sports talents as an aid to total education.

The centre came into being when the Polytechnic was established, and was under the Directorate of Students Affairs before it became a Directorate, to create an atmosphere for students to rejuvenate their minds after the rigorous works.

Available sporting facilities include Athletics (Track and Field), Badminton, Basketball, Handball, Hockey, Soccer, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, Boxing, Volleyball, etc

The Centre creates awareness in Sports.

Mr. Ipadeola Olatundun Oladeji is the Director.

Mr. Ipadeola Olatundun OLADEJI

Designation: Director of Sports

Mr. Ipadeola Olatundun Oladeji was born on 11th November, 1953 at Okeho, an indigene of Ogun State. He attended University of Lagos, Lagos (1974-1977 & 1978-1980) and bagged Nigeria Certificate in Education (1977) & B. Sc Physical and Health Education (1980). Later, he proceeded to University of llorin, llorin (1993-1995) where he obtained Master in Educational Technology (1995). He holds Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism (1996) from Times Journalism Institute, Lagos (1996) and as well as Master in Sports Marketing (2000) from Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago-lwoye (1998-2000).

He joined the services of the Polytechnic on 18 February, 1989 and has since then been actively involved in the service of the Polytechnic.

He is a member of Nigeria Association for Physical, Health Education, Recreation for Sport and Dance [NAPHER-SD]

ii) Technical Committee, Nigeria Polytechnic Games Association (NIPOGA);

iii) General Assembly, West African Polytechnic Games Association (WAPOGA).

He became the Director of Sports of the institution in March 2006, the position he is currently holding.

He is married and blessed with children.
