Dr. Adeoye David Odedeji was born on 14th January, 1963 at Igan-Alade, Ketu Constituency, Yewa North Local Government area of Ogun State.
He attended Ketu College, Igan-Alade between 1977 and 1982, University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), Ile-Ife between 1983 and 1987, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife between 1988-1989, Lagos City Computer College, Ikeja, Lagos 1993, National Teachers Institute, Kaduna between 2007 and 2008, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta 1999 to 2014.
He holds the following qualifications: SC/WAEC (1982), B.Sc (Hons) Sociology & Anthropology (1987), M.Sc Sociology & Anthropology (1989), Diploma in Computer Science (1993), Post-graduate Diploma in Education (2007), Doctoral Degree in Agric. Extension & Rural Development (Rural Sociology) 2014).
Adeoye had worked with National Orientation Agency, Federal Ministry of Information, Abeokuta as Mobilisation Officer I between 1990 and 1996.
He joined the services of Ogun State Polytechnic now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta in 1996 as Lecturer II and by dint of hard work, he rose through the ranks to the status of Chief Lecturer in 2015.
He is a member of many professional bodies such as: Institute of Personnel Management, Nigeria; Nigerian Rural Sociological Association (NRSA), International Farming System Association (IFSA) and a Fellow, Nigerian Institute of Training and Development (NITD).
He has been the Chairman of numerous Committees in the Polytechnic such as Staff Disciplinary Committee, Premier Lecture Planning Committee, Curriculum Development and Review Committee, Examination Planning Committee, Conference Marking Committee, Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit, Academic Space Committee, Publication and Assessment Committee etc.
Odedeji has been the Director of Academic Planning of the Polytechnic from 2014 till 2020.
Until his recent appointment as the Rector, he has been in the acting capacity since December, 2020.
He has several books and over fifty (50) publications to his credit.
Dr. Adeoye David Odedeji is happily married with beautiful children.
