Agro-Services

In an attempt to convert the rich fertile land of MAPOLY to productive use, the Oil Palm plantation was planted some four (4) years ago on over 6 hectares of land. The Agro Services is a business arm of the Polytechnic that generates revenue.

Efforts are being intensified to purchase oil palm producing machines to make the processing into finished goods such as palm oil, soap, vegetable oil, etc easier. Agro Services is also into production of cassava which at the end of the day is converted into Starch and Gari.

As part of instructional exercise, students in Food Science and Technology department will soon be involved in the process of oil production.

Polytechnic Bookshop

The Polytechnic Bookshop was established in the year 2007 to meet the yearnings of industrious students. What actually gave rise to the establishment of the Bookshop was an attempt to have a common place where students can turn to in order to lay their hands on books that might not be within their easy reach. In other words, students have the opportunity to buy books of their choice at the bookshop.

It has, since its establishment, contributed to students’ academic excellence. It also creates an atmosphere for research activities.

The bookshop is stocked with books written by distinguished and renowned scholars within and outside the Polytechnic.
