MAPOLY Has Produced Many Giants, Needs Holistic Support, Ogun Head of Service Affirms

The Ogun State Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Olufemi Onasanya, has affirmed that Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Abeokuta has played significant roles in educational development by producing many giants of ministries and industries for over four decades globally.

This was disclosed during the courtesy visit of the Management, led by the Rector, Arc. Dr. ‘Koye Jolaoso to his office at Oke-Mosan today.

While explaining his intention for the visitation, Arc. ‘Koye Jolaoso said, it becomes pertinent for the Management to rekindle its relationship with the apex authority for guide and support.

He mentioned some of the achievements recorded within the first month in office as the Rector that the Management was able to successfully conduct interviews for conversion of non-teaching staff into academic cadre as well upgrading exercise.

According to him, “In our quest to light up MAPOLY, we have fixed the main transformers, which have restored public power to the Polytechnic and also aided seamless pumping of water for general use”.

“Solar power facilities have been completely installed to illuminate the campus and its environment at night for safety”, he added.

The Rector assured that Management is focusing on re-branding and would ensure that all hands must be on deck to achieve the objective.

In his response, the Head of Service, while congratulating the Rector on his appointment as the first alumnus to clinch the exalted position, charged him to uphold his strong antecedents for a successful tenure.

He said ” your background is solid, use the opportunity to reposition MAPOLY, that is, come up with reforms and programmes to revive the system”.

He stated that he also finished his A-Levels in the Polytechnic and would be ready to render support within his capacity.

Mr. Onasanya used the medium to appeal to members of staff and students for sincere cooperation and collaboration towards ensuring stability and development.

The Permanent Secretaries, Mr. Dipo Ogunfowora, Bureau of Service Matters; Mrs. Lydia Fajounbo, Establishment and Training;
Mr. Jola Oyeneye, Bureau of Public Service Reforms and Mr. Lateef Benson, Special Duties and Inter-Government Matters were in the entourage that received the Management.
